CNO implements kindness initiative

Carolyn Booker, DNP, RN, the CNO of Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming, Ga., started a kindness initiative in 2018 that has spread throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area-based health system. The hospital recorded more than 11,000 kindness acts within six months during a Kindness Challenge. Booker, who is an AONL member, believes kindness has become a key component of her organization’s culture because the leadership has invested and actively supports it.
