Article highlights latest technology innovations for nurse leaders
Nurse leaders should be aware of three technological innovations improving care, notes HealthLeaders. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is launching a program to research and develop virtual care services addressing health inequities. Roanoke, Va.-based Carilion Children’s Hospital and Astarte Medical are integrating digital health technology into Carilion’s neonatal intensive care unit to enhance care management for preterm babies and infants with acute medical conditions. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City is using technology to enable clinical trial sponsors to pull patient data from the system’s electronic health record. The technology will streamline the process of obtaining and verifying data from several electronic health records to support cancer research. (HealthLeaders Media article, 8/31/23)
