AONL resource examines nurse manager role in high-turnover environments
AONL’s Workforce Committee released the first in a series of resources, this one examining the nurse manager’s role in high-turnover environments. To inform its work, the committee conducted three national focus groups. Findings from the dialogue with nurse managers are presented with suggestions, competencies and organizational considerations for managing workloads. AONL will release additional findings in additional resources in the coming months, covering care models, the effects of nurse leader turnover, defining the value of nurse leaders, optimizing technology and succession planning.
