AONL co-sponsors equity leadership award

AONL is co-sponsoring the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action’s Equity-Minded Leader Award. The award will recognize a nurse who is a catalyst for change at the systems or organization level to address and dismantle policies and structures contributing to disparities and inequities. In addition to the leader category, the Campaign will give an equity award to an educator, practitioner, researcher and rising star. Winners will receive $1,000 each, plus travel to and attendance at the Campaign’s health equity summit in Washington D.C. on Oct. 31-Nov. 1. Individuals can apply or nominate others for an award through Aug. 18; the Campaign will announce winners in September. The Campaign is an initiative of AARP Foundation, AARP and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. (Campaign for Action blog article, 7/17/23)
