AONL Stresses Nurse Manager Succession Planning
AONL’s Workforce Committee this week released the third in a series of resources examining the nurse manager role. Recognizing that nurse manager roles are evolving in the post-COVID era, the committee explored the importance of robust succession planning to attract and retain current and future leaders. The paper includes recommendations on the value of succession planning, a basic framework and two exemplars of succession planning. The committee plans to collect more exemplars of succession planning to share with AONL members.
