AONL/DAISY campaign goes ‘Beyond Gratitude’ for nurse managers

The AONL and DAISY Foundations came together to launch Beyond Gratitude: A Tribute to Nurse Managers earlier this month. In first phase of the campaign, the organizations are providing ready-to-use materials such as "thank you" cards and emails organizations can use to express their gratitude. A second phase will focus on redesigning nurse managers’ work, and a third phase will study nurse manager recognition. “We’ve known for 20 years that there needs to be a redesign of the work of nurse managers,” AONL President-Elect Deborah Zimmermann, DNP, RN, CEO of the DAISY Foundation told HealthLeaders Media.
