AONL, AACN seek to improve academic-practice partnerships

AONL affirmed its commitment to working with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing in a jointly issued statement this week. The two organizations pledged to advance academic-practice collaboration, strengthen nursing leadership, educate the nursing workforce and improve the quality of health care for all. Their AACN/AONL Academic-Practice Advisory Committee ─ comprised of dyads of leaders from schools of nursing and health care ─ identifies opportunities to strengthen the connection between education and practice. The committee evaluates emerging challenges affecting the health professions workforce and develops strategic priorities to strengthen such partnerships.
