AONL 2024 highlights virtual nursing, technology integration
Nurse leaders at AONL 2024 discussed how they are utilizing virtual nursing and robotics in their care models to improve recruitment and retention. Linda Alderson, MSN, RN, CNE at Tacoma General and Allenmore Hospitals in Tacoma, Wash., and Jennifer Graham, MN, RN, CNE at MultiCare Health System in Spokane, Wash., estimate their model ─ consisting of a bedside RN, a licensed practical nurse, a certified nursing assistant, a virtual nurse and a robot ─ will save the health system $2.2 million per unit per year.
