AHRQ refreshes patient-safety training curriculum

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality this week announced it has released TeamSTEPPS 3.0, an updated version of its patient-safety training curriculum. The update includes an increased focus on patients, consolidates content from prior versions created for separate care settings and offers sessions of varying lengths to accommodate time constraints. It also includes active learning strategies, emphasizes ways a more diverse workforce can benefit team functioning and makes connections between effective teamwork and improved provider well-being.
