AHRQ competition will highlight impact of its patient safety tools

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality this week announced a competition to demonstrate how the use of its patient safety tools has resulted in safer health care. AHRQ will award $10,000 each to up to 10 winners who describe how the use of patient safety resources resulted in measurable improvement. The agency will use the information obtained to demonstrate the improvements an organization might expect to garner when using the tool and to inform future safety improvement efforts. Submissions are due by Oct. 5; AHRQ will announce winners in November. (AHRQ news release, 6/5/23)
