AHA to host healthy-aging webinar

The American Hospital Association will hold a webinar on Aug. 9 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. ET on how to leverage interdisciplinary collaboration to create age-friendly health systems. The webinar will feature Charlotte, N.C.-based Atrium Health. Tru Byrnes, DNP, RN, a geriatric clinical nurse leader at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, and Mercy Kern, MSN, RN, a nurse manager at Atrium Health Mercy, will explain how Atrium tracked data and used their team’s skill set to provide care to older adults. Participants will learn how to assess the need for health systems to become age friendly and about the age-friendly health systems movement, as well as how their organization can get involved. Participants must register in advance.
