AHA to host facility safety and security in health care event

The American Hospital Association will host a virtual event on facility safety and security in health care on Dec. 7 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. ET. Led by the AHA’s Hospitals Against Violence initiative, the virtual convening will consist of two expert panels discussing innovative approaches to prevent targeted violence, improve physical and psychological safety and increase collaboration with law enforcement. Convening faculty include AONL former board chairs and current AHA trustees Mary Ann Fuchs, DNP, RN, senior vice president and CNE at Centra Health in Lynchburg, Va., and Mary Beth Kingston, PhD, RN, executive vice president and CNO at Advocate Health in Charlotte, N.C. Participants must register in advance.
