AHA releases 'People Matter, Words Matter' poster

The American Hospital Association recently released the latest poster in its “People Matter, Words Matter” series. The poster offers examples of compassionate language health care workers can use to support their colleagues after a distressing situation that may require time to process. The poster also suggests actions health care workers can take, including checking in with their colleagues on a regular basis, especially if they have had a difficult day; offering to connect them to a peer supporter or professional resource; encouraging them to take care of themselves; and telling them they are not alone.
