AHA releases 2024 Environmental Scan

The American Hospital Association this week released its 2024 Environmental Scan. The annual guide provides key data and insights on the health care landscape and helps hospitals explore important issues with staff, leaders, boards and community stakeholders. It includes information on workforce shortages, resiliency and technology to enhance the workforce experience, ways to deliver better care and greater value; and initiatives to improve health equity, behavioral health and rural health. The AHA provides a leadership discussion guide to help leaders use the scan to strategize and think about key issues.
