AHA podcast explores reimagining health care workforce

An American Hospital Association podcast explores how health executives are using findings from the 2024 AHA Health Care Workforce Scan to reimagine, redesign and transform their workforce strategies. Cottage Health uses virtual nursing and the expanded use of telemedicine to meet staffing needs and ensure quality care. Felicia Sadler, MJ, RN, vice president of quality at Relias, Morrisville, N.C., says her company is integrating technology in staffing models and patient acuity to ensure the right staffing mix. Relias hires experienced nurses to work in virtual settings and mentor new nurses.
