AHA podcast describes IU Health care network

An American Hospital Association podcast explains how Indiana University Health in Indianapolis developed a care network to spark social connection and community. Jay Foster, vice president of spiritual care with IU Health, and Shadreck Kamwendo, director of the Congregational Care Network, discuss how the care network is impacting the lives of community residents, as well as resources available to those in need. IU Health started the care network following the 2023 release of the U.S. Surgeon General’s advisory declaring loneliness and social isolation an epidemic.
