AHA podcast explores creating access to behavioral health

An American Hospital Association video explores how Lifepoint Health is expanding access to behavioral health services. To address access and reimbursement challenges discouraging people from receiving behavioral health care, the Brentwood, Tenn.-based health system uses telehealth and takes steps to enforce federal and state laws requiring mental health parity in insurance coverage.  The system also aims to bring additional resources to underserved communities and provide consultations to emergency departments and primary care clinics.
