AHA, ANA, AMA mark grim pandemic milestone
In response to the official number of U.S. deaths from COVID-19 reaching the one-million mark, the American Hospital Association (AHA), the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the American Medical Association (AMA) released a statement this week. The statement noted the nation’s health care professionals and essential workers have been on the front lines “from day one,” which took a toll on their well-being. The organizations urged the public to get vaccinated and boosted and to follow evidence-based public health precautions to protect themselves and their loved ones. “America’s physicians, nurses, and hospitals and health systems thank you for doing your part to help us protect you,” the statement concluded.
