Nurses Rate Highest in Gallup Poll on Honesty, Ethics

Nurses ranked highest once again in the 2019 Gallup poll of Americans’ views of the honesty and ethics of various professionals. With 85% of Americans saying nurses' honesty and ethical standards are "very high" or "high,” nurses topped the Gallup list for the 18th year in a row. The second highest rated profession was engineers, with 66% of Americans positively assessing their ethics and honesty. Three other health professionals—physicians, pharmacists and dentists—are held in similar esteem, with 65%, 64% and 61% of survey respondents rating them "very high" or "high” for their honesty and ethics.
