NCC asks Congress to fund Title VIII, NINR
In letters to both the U.S. House and Senate, the Nursing Community Coalition (NCC) outlined a request for $278 million in funding for Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs and $182 million for the National Institute of Nursing Research for FY 2021. These federal investments are “essential to providing high-quality, patient-centered care for all Americans,” the letters stated. They also pointed out nursing research spans numerous disciplines, including disease prevention, global health, precision medicine and genomic studies. AONL is among the 57 member organizations that make up the coalition. (NCC news release, 3/2/20)
