NAPNAP launches course to combat youth sex trafficking
The National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) is launching an on-demand continuing education course as part of the organization’s effort to combat the trafficking of children. 3-PARRT (Providers Assessing Risk and Responding to Trafficking) is designed to alert nurses and other pediatric providers to “red flags” that may indicate a child is at risk for human trafficking. The course also details how to intervene and provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive care. As part of the Alliance for Children in Trafficking, NAPNAP also offers peer-to-peer training for volunteers who want to educate others on the fight against human trafficking.
