FAONL Spotlight: Martha Grubaugh

Dr. Martha Grubaugh, PhD, RN, NE-BC, is a Research Nurse Scientist at UCHealth in Colorado and an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado College of Nursing. She has spent most of her career serving nursing and healthcare teams in a variety of leadership roles.

Her research has been dedicated to improving and cultivating supportive practice environments at all levels of healthcare to improve outcomes. She has led national and local research projects and nationally and internationally disseminated workforce and practice environment outcomes that have influenced practice and policy. Dr. Grubaugh serves on the board of the Colorado Organization for Nurse Leaders (CONL) and is engaged in many committees within American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL). Additionally, she expanded her leadership contribution to large scale community efforts, where as president of Newborn Hope, she led raising over $500,000 for Colorado babies and families impacted by prematurity.
