DHS hospital active shooter guide available

Many factors associated with hospital and health care environments, including patient mobility challenges and other special needs, complicate traditional response efforts during active shooter incidents. A new two-page action guide from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) outlines steps that health care facilities can take to identify potential shooters, respond to attacks and make their premises less vulnerable.
