AASM study concludes nurses at risk for sleep deprivation
A study from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) reports insufficient sleep among nurses who work in medical centers. A total of 1,165 nurses took part in the online survey. Chronic insomnia was identified in almost a third of respondents. More than a quarter reported using medications to help them sleep, and 13 percent said they use medication to stay awake.
