The Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML®) credential is designed exclusively for nurse leaders in the nurse manager role. With the CNML certification, you will become recognized as a leader in your health care community.

Get your CNML certification by passing a 115-question exam, testing your knowledge of the four core principles of financial management; human resource management; performance improvement; and strategic management and technology.
The recertification process provides certificants with the opportunity to demonstrate the retention, reinforcement and expansion of their knowledge and skills.
Some exam questions may require calculations. A calculator may be accessible on the computer screen. In the event a calculator is not accessible on the computer screen, test takers should come prepared with a calculator that is silent, nonprogrammable without paper tape printing capability or alpha keypad. Use of a computer or a cell phone is not permitted. Calculators will be checked for conformance with this regulation before candidates are allowed admission to the Test Center or testing room. Calculators that do not comply with these specifications are not permitted in the PSI Test Center or testing room.

AONL offers a review course for the CNML exam. The review course will cover case studies, simulation learning and a discounted practice test. Participants of the review course can earn continuing education credits when they successfully complete the course.
