The Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP®) is for nurse leaders who are engaged in executive nursing practice. With the CENP certification you will become recognized as an executive in the health care community.
Exam fee AONL member $325 | $450 non-member
The exam is based on the AONL Nurse Executive Competencies™ of communication and relationship building; knowledge of the health care environment; professionalism; business skills and leadership.
The recertification process provides certificants with the opportunity to demonstrate the retention, reinforcement and expansion of their knowledge and skills.
Some exam questions may require calculations. A calculator may be accessible on the computer screen. In the event a calculator is not accessible on the computer screen, test takers should come prepared with a calculator that is silent, nonprogrammable without paper tape printing capability or alpha keypad. Use of a computer or a cell phone is not permitted. Calculators will be checked for conformance with this regulation before candidates are allowed admission to the Test Center or testing room. Calculators that do not comply with these specifications are not permitted in the PSI Test Center or testing room.

AONL offers a review course for the CENP exam. The review course will cover case studies, simulation learning and a discounted practice test. Participants of the review course can earn a maximum of continuing education credits when they successfully complete the course.
