Abstract | Public Health Nursing: Bridging the Equity Gap
Communities across the nation benefit from expert public health nursing services, yet much of their work goes unnoticed. While the pandemic response brought public health efforts to the forefront, the monumental work of public health nurses was often lost in the tragic stories of front-line health care workers or wrapped into contentious rhetoric about public health measures such as masking and vaccines. It is important to highlight the differences PHNs make in driving positive outcomes for the most vulnerable populations.
