BSN Workforce-Ready: The Partnership Program
Hear from the CNO and Associate Dean for Innovative Partnerships and Practice at the University of Kansas about how they developed the Partnership Program, providing a pathway to for nursing students to pursue an Associate Degree and BSN concurrently and graduate BSN workforce ready. This program increased the number of BSNs in the workforce while increasing the percentage of minority and first-time college students and lowering the cost of a BSN degree, significantly reducing the burden of student debt on new nurse graduates. The presenters will detail their process of developing and launching the program, challenges and wins and the implications for improving patient outcomes.
