CNML Methods for Recertification
Certificants can renew their certification by one of the following methods:
Method 1 Participation in Eligible Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Activities
Recertification by this method requires the certificant to complete at least 45 hours of eligible CPD activities within three years prior to the current certification expiration date. When planning CPD activities, certificants may want to use the examination score report to identify areas of study that may be beneficial.
All completed CPD activities must be reported according to the designated content and activity codes. Activity types and codes.
A recertification fee is required.

Method 2 Successful CNML Re-examination
Recertification by this method requires retaking and passing the CNML Examination no more than one year prior to the certification expiration date. CNML Examinations taken more than one year prior to the expiration date will not be eligible toward recertification.

Do not submit recertification application until you complete the CNML Examination. A copy of your CNML Examination score report showing a passing score must be included with your recertification application. The CNML Recertification Application without the score report shall be considered failure to meet the recertification requirements.
Recertification application processing fee does not apply when renewing by re-examination. The late fee applies if the application is submitted up to 30 days past the certification expiration date.
